78 casts to get this damn fish at 210 Fishing mastery with 5 Fishing Ability in Atanis Pond. Did it while leveling a new corsair, started this quest at Beginner 1 and finished at Apprentice 7...

But a day before, I was fishing with my main (Fishing Artisan 1) for the same quest at the river outside Old Wisdom Tree, it took maybe 40 casts (didn't count, but took looooong) to get 1 of these.

Atanis Pond or the river nearby the quest giver doesn't matter I guess as this fish can be found in both locations with (most probably) equally low rate. Spotted Barbel and Mandarin Fish are quite more common (about 4:1 ratio with Diamond Fish), even when they are a rank higher fishes.
