A Tale of Olun's Valley

Category: Turasil's Legacy Adventure Log II

- Description:
The Oluns were even shorter in stature than the Orzecans, who were considered to be like Dwarves in the outside world.

They lived in bliss digging up earth-covered roots for food all through the region of O'dyllita, until Belshuan, the one who led the Ancient Kingdom of Orzeca to its golden age, and his supporter, the witch Hexa Moa, forced them to the barren lands of rock where the stars didn't shine, as the Orzecans would come to disregard and neglect the shorter and weaker Oluns. Time passed, as neglect changed to persecution, which eventually came to draw blood. As Kzarka, the God of Hope, emerged from the Divine Tree Quturan, the people came to forget about Mother, whose blood had birthed the tree itself.

Orzecans offered up wine made from grapes twice daily, when the sun rose and set, to the god that appeared before them as a saint. Each day, carriages packed with wine would creak their way to the shrine in Olun's Valley, a place where nothing grew. They say that the aroma itself was like honey, able to wake anyone with its sweetness, yet no one but the God of Hope drank it. Time passed, the shrine burned down, and people no longer sought to visit Olun's Valley. Although they finally achieved their freedom and had the opportunity to escape, the nine young survivors, the last to remain, did not flee.

Yet, according to their words, they sought out the Thornwood Goddess, the Goddess of Darkness, and prayed before her on their knees for seven days and nights. Then, one early morn, the young ones vanished, and a Boulder Golem of enormous size and strength revealed itself from the shadows like a sun.
This golem was the reincarnation of the Oluns thanks to the Mother's blessing. For the Oluns couldn't escape the Orzecans due to the Orzeca Lightstone, that which was made by the power of Quturan, which birthed the Orzecan Relic, Kzarka, by corrupting the knowledge of the Mother.

That light stone sucked in the emotions of joy, freedom, love, faith, and all else that brought warmth to the heart. Having lost their light, the Oluns even lost their will and were easily controlled by the Orzecans. However, the Boulder Golem that was birthed from the nine young stars took in the Crystallized light formed from what the lightstone had absorbed, and the Ahib named it the Warder of Anguish, and its heart as Olun's Heart.
