He simply enjoys being addressed as "Captain" when Bumblin' Megimegi, who is stronger and larger than him, is nowhere to be seen. Basking in the title, he often struts about as if he were the real boss, until Megimegi returns, at which point he promptly resumes his role as a loyal subordinate.
