Celphie's research journal divides corruption into five stages.

Stage 1 records that the sisters who burned the Turasil Branch lose focus in their eyes, the shadows over their eyes deepen, and they develop an abnormal craving for Turasil. Stage 2 records that the sisters who burned the Turasil Branch hear someone's screams every night, stop sleeping, and begin whispering endlessly. These Ahib were said to have been quarantined beneath the Crypt of Resting Thoughts. Stage 3 records that a Thornwood Prison was built beneath the Crypt of Resting Thoughts to confine the sisters who had gone mad. However, when these maddened sisters could no longer burn Turasil, they burned themselves instead and were reborn from their ashes. The reborn sisters bore the crimson eyes of Kzarka, and the Ahib began calling them the Fallen Ones. Stage 4 contains a somewhat hopeful record, stating that the greed of the Fallen Ones faded due to the pure power of the one recorded as "Dawn." The Ahib quarantined the Fallen Ones whose greed had faded in Thornwood Forest.

However, the final Stage 5 is recorded as Stage 1 once again. Sephir unleashed the Seed of Corruption in the capital, causing countless sisters to become Fallen Ones against their will and rendering all research results useless. Dawn had also left this land, leaving no one to weaken their greed.

In the end, the Ahib could not cure the Fallen Ones. However, they succeeded in developing the Audrite Divine Potion, which could stop those becoming Fallen Ones in the Crypt of Resting Thoughts. Though it came with the side effect of causing part of the body to turn into tree skin.
