Chapter 2: Daughters of the Black and Golden Dragons

The two dragonkin that appeared in the mine immediately turned on each other. One seemed to be a daughter of the Black Dragon, and the other a daughter of the Golden Dragon.

I had to choose which side to help.

Just because both had attacked the miners did not mean either of them was necessarily on my side.

The Black Spirit suggested we deal with one first and see how things played out. With no chance to hear either side of the story, I had to make my choice in the middle of their standoff.

I chose to aid the daughter of the Golden Dragon.

I struck with the power of Edana, and the Golden Dragon's daughter followed up at once. Overwhelmed by our combined assault, the Black Dragon's daughter was forced to retreat.

Before disappearing, she threatened to return for us.

"You knew this was Black Dragon territory, yet you still chose to help me. You've got guts. I respect that."

The Golden Dragon's daughter thanked me for my help.

I decided to hear her out. Whether we truly had reason to work together was something I still needed to determine.
