This quest is a tad bit confusing, as you are asked to pick weeds and there is a gatherable item in the game with that same name. However, you need a different kind of weed for this quest (called "Weed from the Herb Garden"
. In order to obtain this item, you need to use the "Pig Flute" that you should have been given when accepting the quest (you can also return to the start NPC to get another). Then, you bring your summoned pig to the flower patches in town and he'll show you the weeds. You then pluck three and bring them back to the NPC to turn in.
