To craft either Dark Red Fang Crystals with this, you need the Kagtunak knowledge that you can get from Seiri (General Goods Vendor in Duvencrune) after getting 1K Amity with her and doing a simple quest that crafts the Kagtunak.

Just wave to get Amity up, unless you have Artisan 2+ Trading to get the knowledge on trade pieces in Drieghan.

To avoid further confusion, you need the knowledge to make Kagtunak.
But for Dark Red Fang crystals, you can craft them without the knowledge as long as you have the Kagtunak(item).

i have the amity she won't cough up the knowledge. Guess I'll do all her missions maybe that's it.

Ok the amity is the issue, if you click on conversation there are three entries in the upper left corner I have the 1k amity for the kagtunak but i only have 999 for the two below it which I assume is why she won't give me the kagtunak knowledge. Trying to figure out why i only have 999 on the other two when I've done the dailies repeatedly. I haven't done the last quest in the main chain where you fight the dragon could that be it?

Nope that explains it I guess. I'll never find that danged thing been trying on and off for months.
