Das Land, das am meisten vom Krieg zwischen Valencia und Calpheon profitierte, war keines der beiden. Es war Mediah.

Mediah zweigte heimlich Schwarzkristalle ab, um Reichtum anzuhäufen, anstatt die beiden Länder mit den Vorräten zu versorgen, die sie während des Krieges brauchten. Viele Länder waren vom rapiden Wachstum Mediahs als Zentrum des Handels verblüfft, doch um diesen aufzuhalten, ist es schon zu spät.
