To the Papus who love fruit, Papunini means "heavenly fruit."

It holds near legendary status among the Papus, for during the Age of Bellowing Waves when Papua Crinea was invaded by the Moon Grave Vessel, Empress Papuraora boarded the vessel, deceived General Crioniak and retrieved this fruit. General Crioniak of the Otters claimed that the Papunini fruit was actually the legendary Abyssal Sea Fish Egg and declared the start of the Thousand Year War against the Papus. The Papus could not let the Otters just take the Papunini, and so they came to establish the Fruit Soldier Academy and bore arms against General Crioniak and the Otters in the Thousand Year War.

...(Omitted) The heavenly fruit Papunini, which the Papus care for its divinely painstaking process from seed to sprout to fruit, is not a mere snack as those foolish Otters believe, so we need to protect it from them, pu! When it takes on the golden color of the sun and moon, it means the seeds are ready and thus take the Papunini and plant it in the Garden of Birth and let it grow into a Papunini tree. Pu! Once the Papunini tree has many Papunini fruits hanging from its branches, all Papus will be able to taste the heavenly fruit to their heart's content, thereby opening up the Golden Age of Papus, pu!
