The message was from the Old Moon Guild and was a call for volunteers. The message was posted throughout the entirety of Serendia, and seemingly hailed the beginning of a "Great Expedition."
The Old Moon Guild was searching for volunteers because of a contract its representatives made with the Lord of Heidel, who is famed for his knowledge of ancient ruins. They signed a contract to embark on a joint exploration of the islands of the Great Ocean, especially the island of Oquilla's Eye with its repository of ancient relics.

The Old Moon Guild wanted strong soldiers, skilled medics, and experienced cooks to join them in their explorations. They promised generous compensation in return for services.

The message not only spread in Serendia but Balenos as well , and in the early day you could see a horde of volunteers lining up outside the gates of Heidel Castle.
