The children at the farm made fun the monster's child. But he wasn't sad. He neither smiled nor cried. There was only one thing on his mind. The cry from beyond the ridge was from his mother.

He can faintly hear the sound of waves. His sight and hearing was impaired since he was born, and there still remains signs of the plague all over this body. Inside the moist, dark cave, wooden branches became toys when his mother worked her magic on them. Sea turtles, white whales, pirates and sea monsters from Margoria. The stories his mother told was enough to make him forget the pain of his body rotting. One day priests in red robes appeared and began to cure him.

And his mother slowly turned into a monster.
