- Description: Drieghan is located high up in the mountains. Because of this, the region has low average temperatures and receives plenty of sunshine. These climate conditions are highly suitable for growing highland vegetables. These crops are also known for their high quality since there are not many pests in such a climate. However, since vegetables are difficult to store for long periods, they are sometimes dried and stored for consumption during winter. Through this process, however, the stored vegetables lose some of their nutrients and it becomes easier for those consuming them to contract diseases during winter.
