Beasts that looks like they are covered in black and slippery oil have been discovered in Navarn. They can hide in the dark, as if they can melt into the shadows themselves. When they are hunting, they are only betrayed by their flashing orange eyes as they eye their prey. They have been observed in groups, but they mostly seem to be solitary creatures.

..I have witnessed a Black Leopard attacking an Adventurer. The Black Leopard hid itself in the woods and then appeared out of nowhere to attack a horsed Adventurer from the back. Even when the Adventurer thought that her horse has outrun the Black Leopard by quite a distance, in an eye blink the Black Leopard appeared again to attack the horse. The Adventurer barely escaped with her life but her poor horse was dragged into the woods by the Black Leopard.
