- Description: Typically, the role of a village chief is usually taken on by the eldest. This is due to beliefs that the wisdom and experience needed to aid the village can only be accumulated over a long period of time. However, in the village of Velandir, the elders take on the role of advisors. The position of chief is taken by a younger individual brimming with passion and determination for the village. Anyone with even a hint of autocratic tendencies cannot become a chief. Krodinon is the older brother of Eyshah, the chief of Velandir, and was the chief before her. He could have continued as the chief, but he stepped aside and began to walk the path of an advisor, recognizing that his younger sister's passion surpassed that of his own.
