The one who brought Deadeye to this strange new world was none other than the mad scientist, Marni. Originally, Deadeye had been hired by "Salvatore Marni," to raid a train in her home world. But during the raid, she came into contact with "Ator's Heart" and was transported across dimensions, landing in this unfamiliar realm. The person who greeted Deadeye upon arrival wasn’t the Marni she knew — but someone entirely different.

This Marni made Deadeye an offer, using the disappearance of her brother as bait. According to this Marni, Eddie, Deadeye’s long-lost brother, was somewhere in this strange world. Unlike the fruitless search she’d endured until now, this was the first real lead Deadeye had been given, and it was enough to get her moving.

Chasing the faint trail of her brother, Deadeye agreed to Marni’s deal, adapting to her new surroundings and living as Marni’s mercenary for a time.
