- Description: The sorceresses, despite their hatred of Illezra, warned her of the Book of Cartian which she had stolen and they so desperately sought to reclaim. The immense power and will inscribed in the Book of Cartian left traces that led the sorceresses, a few of whom were disciples of Cartian themselves, like breadcrumbs. Illezra, in an attempt to break the will of the Book of Cartian and claim it entirely, as well as evade her pursuers, tore apart the pages of power and will inscribed within the book to create the Forbidden Book. This Forbidden Book, born out of force and fragmented will, harbored a desire to be whole. The Forbidden Book, now filled with desire, scattered across Mediah, creating or absorbing more Forbidden Books. When a few of the great sorceresses gathered the Forbidden Books to restore the Book of Cartian and completed the "Cartian Spell", they were confronted by a "monster filled with desire". However, they reportedly found only a faint echo of Cartian's will within the monster, crying out, "Illezra. Stop her."
