Cartil Tankta is the Second Chief of the Turo tribe of the dense forest of Tunkuta. He seeks help from Circa, a Verti negotiator who serves Viorencia.

Despite Quturan's curse, the souls of the Turos never dried up, and they tended to Tunkuta throughout the golden and declining years of Orzeca. They were born and died in Tunkuta, and their mission to stay and tend to the only forest in O'dyllita, the Arid Land, was preserved with their lives, for they were never going to leave the woods under any circumstances. But at some point, the Turos began to get agitated. A number of Turos began to utter the word "Thornwood Castle" and then one day, the Ahib, whom they shunned, strode into their land riding on Salun Bears and Salun Wolves.

Nobody stopped them, for the Chief himself had allowed them to use the pathway leading to Thornwood Forest. Since then, the Ahib reeking of a foul stench have gradually begun to occupy the forest, but strangely enough, most of the Turos seemed unbothered. Yet the Second Chief couldn't understand. Also, the Turos who shared in his suspicions began to suffer from itchy pains all over their bodies, all except for himself...
