The story I'm about to share is about a rookie adventurer who started their journey in the world of Black Desert a bit late, yet spent a year collecting treasures and enjoying various content.

Below, I'll recount the major events from each month, from when I started the game in November 2023 to November 2024, based on my adventures in search of treasures. While your playstyle might differ, I hope you can recall the moment you first encountered Black Desert and enjoy reading about my adventure.

November 2023: Preparing for the Grand Journey with Ornette's and Odore's Spirit Essence

In 2023, when Black Desert was all the rage, a latecomer adventurer stepped into the world of Black Desert on October 26. At that time, it was recommended for rookie adventurers to craft potions themselves. I ventured through every corner of Black Desert to complete the two Spirit Essences. Each time I completed a potion, my Family Name was broadcast across the server, and I received congratulations from guild members and other players, which was an indescribable feeling of accomplishment. These fond memories likely led me to focus on treasure collection as my main content.

December 2023: The Map to Trace My Journey - Archaeologist's Map

After completing the two Spirit Essences, I looked for content to engage with on the season server. Although I received various recommendations, the lingering satisfaction from crafting potions remained with me. Thus, it didn't take long for the Archaeologist's Map, which wasn't too difficult and didn't require high specs, to become my goal. I spent up to 10 hours hunting in the Sulfur Mine and Pila Ku Jail, and after about three weeks of intense gameplay, I completed the Archaeologist's Map. It was the first time I earned a yellow title. Although it was just a title, I was delighted to have something in the game that recognized my efforts, and I appreciated the convenience the treasure provided for travel. This map has been invaluable in my journey to complete other treasures, as I'll explain below.

January 2024: Hystria Ruins and Hostile Adventurers

Hystria Ruins is a place that symbolizes treasure hunting. As a rookie adventurer, I saw it as one of the few ways I could help others, so I was eager to go there. I fully utilized the travel convenience granted by the Archaeologist's Map and headed to Hystria, which was also profitable. However, at that time, Hystria was popular for forced PvP. Initially, I didn't feel it much due to the 60-day protection for new adventurers, but once that period ended, I too became a target of attacks. The difference was overwhelming, and farming treasure items was challenging, so after enduring for about a month, I left Hystria Ruins with four Upgraded Compass Parts (Vodkhan), having decided to focus on upgrading my specs and completing Adventure Logs and Energy quests, which I had previously neglected.
