I just crafted this with the listed recipe. My alchemy is apprentice 2 and i used an intermediate alchemy station.

i am correcting you Tayelle ... 2 fox blood it used the 3 extra and gave you the same thing just you wasted 2 fox bloods

Yes, it is sufficient with 2 fox blood, but Tayelle is saying nothing wrong because in-game the QUEST REQUIREMENTS state 5x Fox Blood (as you see from the screenshot below by Mopafid too).
See the entry from the Knowledge List at the top - clear as day in yellow text.

No clue why yours would be different, but on EU, I can confirm the recipe works.

(Despite the Knowledge of it ingame says differently)

The recipe stated in this page and Tayelle's recipe works because the system will consume any excess ingredients.
So Tayelle is using this recipe but is wasting ingredients by placing more than needed.

Weasel blood can be substituted for Fox Blood in this recipe, ran 40 with no fails.
@ Skilled 3, not certain if that's relevant.

All the alchemy "blood" recipes follow the same pattern.
1x "rare item": Spirit's Leaf, Monk's Branch
1x "alchemy reagent": Pure Powder Reagent, Clear Liquid Reagent
1x "powder/trace"
2x "blood"

So for this recipe, it would be 1 Monk's Branch, 1 Clear Liquid Reagent, 1 Trace of Ascension, and 2 "Blood 3" (as previously stated by others)

I have not been able to get the recipe to be successful with 2 Fox Blood. I can use 1,1,1,2 with Raccoon blood but with fox blood it only works with 5. I am Artisan 6 so it's not a skill issue.

At professional 8, using 2 fox blood fails for me 100% of the time. With 2 weasel blood, works every time. am on NA.

NOTE: In the Black Desert the craft is heavily affected by your skill level. At higher skill levels you can use less materials and get more products. For all recipes/designs you can use the general substitution rules: - 1 ingredient of green grade can be replaced by 2-3 white grade ingredients and vice versa. - 1 ingredient of blue grade can be replaced by 3-5 white grade ingredients and vice versa.
