You can substitute Wild Grass with Weeds when crafting.

some say 5:1 but it seems like i can use one weed while crafting clear liquid reagants. I am skilled 10 as i type this though

I'm at apprentice 7 and I seem to be using one weed per powder/liquid reagent just fine too.

I had a quest that told me weed were an alternative, It showed me the ingredients for the basic vs alternative being main ingredients 1 clear liquid reagent, 3 cloud mushroom, and alternative ingredients 3 bear blood(3 troll blood) and 2 wild herb(8 wild grass

Or something like that. I would've screen shotted it, but I completed the quest.
