RU version has different hint text then any other language. It says something like (with help of Google translator):
"Those bastards from Pilgrim's Sanctum: Abstinence... They don't want to hide me. I have to hurry up, the natives are catching up. I'll hide the goods here and pick it up later. We'll try to hide in Pilgrim's Sanctum: Sharing."

Just responding to my own post here. The above spot failed me, 6 months on I still have the quest. I spent several hundred energy in and around that spot digging and didn't turn up anything.

This one was the hardest for me this far but eventually got it. The hills just doesnt look the same on my screen for some reason and the draw distance seems better for you aswell.
