Chapter 2: An Ominous Dream

At the headquarters of the Society of Equilibrium, Emma awaited me. Doubt gnawed at my mind as I looked at her. Sensing my gaze, Emma spoke in a trembling voice—lately, the nightmares had returned.

"I entered a castle, grand and tall,
seeking the king, answering his call...
The moment I gazed, my heart full of fear,
I knew then... death's shadow had drawn near...

I followed someone's gaze and looked to the sky,
a door of darkness opened, and a Blackstar fell, oh my!"

Professor Alustin believed Emma had seen Edania, the land Illezra and Jordine had spoken of. Beyond the gates of Alyaelli, the land of truth, where all began... What sort of place could it be?

Alustin wondered if Emma's nightmares had returned because something tied to the ancient Cron royal family still lingered in Edania.

He suspected the Black Spirit had infected Gorgath in the Abyss, and spoke of the Edanas heading toward Edania. All across the continent, more and more fall prey to the Black Spirit's corruption.

The Society believes Edania is where the Black Spirit fell. Perhaps, there, the truth of the Black Spirit will be revealed.
