The one who had the real copy of Caphras' Journal was none other than the Dark Knight Ataraxia.

She had stolen the journal from Sephir in Thornwood Forest and tried to follow the instructions in the journal. Yet she ended up in the Fallen One's trap, and walked in the path of the fallen. However, she kept her calm, for she knew that darkness would come again regardless of her death, that she should always be ready. Moreover, she had accepted that she was a mere sacrifice in the overall process.

She had to find someone to take Caphras' Journal in her stead. Although she thought of the hero who had revived Kamasylve's Light, she was somewhat hesitant to hand over the cursed journal to someone might be naive about the dark forces at work. Still, her curiosity got the better of her, so she had Kamasylvia's hero follow her by lying that she, too, took the Trial of Shadow.

Eventually, after journeying together in the Arid Land, she came to a conclusion.

"The hero is talented enough to protect themselves and others, is quite good at stealing, good fortune follows in their footsteps, and seems not prone to sentimentality. Whatever situation arises, this hero will survive until the end."
