Yes, it's need to be dried. Keep gathering the Giant Pearl Oyster and you'll get it eventually. Having gold tool and high life skill level also helps.

Yes, it's correct. You make the Dried Pearl Oyster Flesh by drying the Giant Pearl Oyster. Initially you've used wrong name "Dried Pearl Oyster Flesh". Looks like there is a some misunderstanding or translation problems here

You got lucky actually. Golden Pearl is the rare drop. Try again with another oyster to get the Dried Pearl Oyster Flesh.
