Since the 2018 fish table update, the drop rate of Yellow-Head Catfish in Mediah is very low.
You'd rather go to Kamasylvia, for instance, in Atanis Pond, Shady Forest or Mirumok Ruins.
Yes, it's on the other side of the map, but it will still be faster to go there on foot than to hope fishing those 15 guys in Splash point!

But its not faster when you also have to catch all of the other fish. Folks, random is random but dont doubt the process. You will catch all of the fish right there at Splashing Point just as Decadence said.
