Margarethe's desperate wish to "live" was granted by Kzarka, but the gift came with an unexpected twist. She awoke to find herself transformed into a child. Guided by a stranger's hand, she was taken in by the Bloody Monastery, a grim place teeming with orphans who had nowhere else to go. Under the guise of raising them as tools to serve the Light of Elion, the instructors subjected these children to relentless, brutal training. Each day, the grounds echoed with screams; any moment of weakness was met with the crack of a whip. Trials forced them to the very threshold of death. In this hellish crucible, Margarethe and Lara endured, clinging to one another like pillars in the storm. They swore to become family, to weather the darkness together. Yet beyond the pain and hardship, an even darker fate awaited them.

The final trial where only one child could survive and become the vessel. Those who had shared meals and dreams now turned their blades on one another. The monastery became a living hell; friends slew friends, and those who could not kill died. Margarethe fought desperately to protect Lara, but shielding the frail girl from the other children's wrath was a nearly impossible task.

After cutting down friends and being wounded in turn, Margarethe finally collapsed, exhausted and broken. The instructors seized her, forcing a dagger into her hand—driving her to strike at Lara. In that moment, deep within her soul, Margarethe's Sacred Power awakened. With divine wrath, she exacted vengeance upon every sinner, passing judgment on those who had tormented the children. When the carnage was over, Margarethe led the surviving children away from the monastery. By some miracle, Lara had survived as well.

But Margarethe could not stay. To keep Lara and the others safe, and to seek the one who haunted her resurfacing memories, she had to move on. With resolve in her heart, she headed to Edania.
