Chapter 7: Where the Sun Shines

How to prove to the Bamboo Legion that this world is still worth living... Maybe a heartwarming song would do the trick! The Traveler and Dolswe thought of the troubadour, Jonghan, who came with them from Hanji County.

All that was left to do was gather some happy tales... But, there wasn't any time, so they decided to make some themselves!

The first place they went to was a potter's house, where they could hear crying. The potter Jangho was having difficulty making a living after the Youngam banned the sale of porcelain, and had tried to dump his son in Dokkebi Forest for trying to steal his grandma's food.

Hearing his plight, the traveler gathered food for the family while Ondal and Dolswe connected Jangho to the Seoryeon Corps who were looking to purchase some porcelain. The potter heaved a sigh of relief, as his family could now stay together.

The next person they met was a weary constable sitting at a beacon tower. He had just recently become a father, but had been overburdened with so much work that he'd never seen his child's face. The traveler took on his quota so that he could head home for the day, and the constable headed home smiling from ear to ear!

The last person they found was a man shivering in Dokkebi Forest. He'd come in search of kkebipills because of his sick mother. Thanks to Ondal knowing everyone around, he was able to help the man ask the Dokkebi for the pills. The Dokkebi, of course, pulled a few pranks, but the man returned home with a box of kkebipills and a smile on his face.
