These will not necessarily show up on mini-map, if you can't see them drop aoe on approx location until you get used to seeing them.

they are outside of ruins

head to Hasrah Ancient ruins node manager with your pickaxe for faster knowledge gathering, there's a few nearby. Also any pets that cause mob agro make them easy to find.
