The only way to obtain this knowledge is to rent a Practice Matchlock and fire at water striders. The knowledge can NOT be obtained by simply killing the mob.

The only way to obtain this knowledge is to rent a Practice Matchlock from Merio. I tried to bring my own huntiong rifle/killing them and it didnt work or i where really unlucky.
