After Greta steeled herself to take part in the experiment, I decided it was time to bring the project, one I'd carried out in secret and alone, before the Church and seek its official approval. I needed to expand the research, and I needed the support of the central authority. Once we confirmed we had finally found a suitable candidate, the Church gave its sanction.
