I do not have the slightest idea where Belmorn is.
However I feel he had a hand in having the Saunils march towards Trina Fort.
They are literally throwing everything they've got at us.
I fear that the Saunils are being controlled by Belmorn.
If they manage to capture Trina Fort,
they'll join the Trolls in the north and attack the Capital of Calpheon.
Jordine is still conscious within Belmorn,
and the only thing he desires is to see Calpheon fall.
So, I am certain that Belmorn will make an appearance
if we successfully drive off the Saunils.

Even if we manage to defeat Jordine, the power of darkness will be filled again when Belmorn wakes up from his slumber.
