Hey,
The database indicates that Garmoth's Heart has a drop rate of 6000. Other items show a drop rate of 1000000 which seems to translate back to 100%. By this logic, 6000 from 1000000 is 0.6%, making me believe Garmoth's Heart has a 0.6% drop chance.
Using this method, Vell's Concentrated Magic has a 2% chance but on BDOCodex it indicates it has a 1% chance. Am I calculating it wrongly or could Vell's Concentrated Magic have the wrong %?
Thanks,
Thana
Chance entries in DB
Re: Chance entries in DB
The drops rates were acquired long ago (2017) from leaked server data. Usually, they're not present in the client. By now the chances are obsolete and could be ignored.
In general, the drop chances are not that simple. For example, a NPC can have several drop groups attached to it. Each with it's own drop chance. Then inside each drop group there could be subgroups, each with it's own drop chance. Finally in each subgroup there is a list of items, which could be dropped from it, again each with it's own drop chance. So when calculating the final drop chance you have to keep it all in mind. We can only guess, how the game really calculates the chances.

What I found was from the server side and matches with many other valuable items which return a plausible drop chance
