You can substitute with Deer blood but according to the blood group type: instead of 5 pig blood, I thought 3 deer blood would be suffice since it counts as a value of 2 each. Even at guru1, it fails in batches but a single craft is successful, tried with 4 deer blood. In the end, 5 deer blood still, as 1:1 value sub

all the values this site shows as 'can be substituted as' should be taken with a grain of salt. Most bloods are 1:1 without exception (Higher mastery and levels may do with less, but typically its 1:1)
For normal vs green vs blue mats its also a 1:3:5 type split(IE Special wheat would = 5 normal wheat)
