Cheapest way to complete this quest (produce pure platinum crystals) is heating bares weapons.

Platinum ingot 3x + 1x metal solvent = 3x 135k + 50k = 455k
Bares weapons are 25-40k, you need 3-4 of them to get one pure platinum crystal, it means it will cost only 100-160k for each crystal.
