Wth do you do with this thing after the quest chain? It does not say it is a quest item. Nor can you sell it.

Items used for future quests are normally always marked as quest items. So it's kinde strange this one is the odd duck out.

Might just one of those quest items that doesn't get removed afterwards, like the black dragon bead & kibelius spear from Valencia main quest

There is no use here, and no comments saying such, so even if we did need it, they would give us a way to get it back, so don't worry about it.
