You cannot receive from Platinum Ore gathering non-specific rocks (Bloodstone, Sandstone etc) until you are at Skilled 5. This is also the case for most rare ores & gems such as Gold Ore, Rough Emerald, Rough Sapphire, Rough Ruby, Rough Topaz, Silver Ore etc.

3 Nodes close to each other between Hexe and Giants, respawn time is long though, went throught all 3 guild servers + 2 extra servers and the first server didn't have the ore again.
