At that moment, Yolu's gaze shifted somewhere. There lay a small stone shimmering in the sunlight. Yolu dashed towards it, looking as if she were chasing an elusive dream.

"Wow! It's so pretty!"

I smiled privately at the scene. But as Yolu gazed at the fragment, she murmured to herself. Her voice was low, and she seemed somewhat out of energy.

"Can I shine like that too?"
"What makes you think that?"
"I always feel like I'm in the shadows. I can never sparkle like that."

Her words pierced my heart.

"Yolu. You're special. There's no need to compare yourself to others."

Yet, her expression remained dark. I tried hard to understand how small she felt.

"Thanks. I'm so excited about what we'll do together!"

Yolu said, though there was more unease than excitement in her words. I wanted to lift her spirits, but I couldn't find a way.
