- Description: It is slightly flattened vertically. Its mouth is below the snout, shaped like a horseshoe, and around it are a pair of barbels shorter than the diameter of the eyes. Its belly is covered with scales, and its cheeks have a blue sheen, with the pectoral and pelvic fins being slightly red in color.
