As soon as the princess was rescued, Crucio Domongatt ignored Cliff's protest that the battle was already won and declared absolute surrender to Calpheon. By this point, the harpy situation at Delphe Castle had been taken care of, Keplan Vicinity had been restored, thus securing the Calpheon army's supply route. Therefore, no one could be certain how the war would have turned out. But Crucio was just too exhausted and had no strength left to carry on. After the surrender, Crucio was dragged to Calpheon as a hostage to face his crimes in a war tribunal. Not long after, Alfonso and Jordine, fortunate as they were, somehow managed to return to Heidel, unscathed. While they had lost the war, their contributions were not forgotten and were both awarded the ranks of officer in the army. They were given pay and could self-sustain themselves. However, Cliff, Jordine, and Alfonso never fought alongside the other, ever again.

As Jarette was still far too young, an emergency committee under the guidance of Cliff came to preside over Serendia, which soon became a tributary state to Calpheon, who would increase their influence upon Serendia. Then, a lone woman leapt out of a corridor in Heidel Castle, effectively ending her life. Scribbled on a parchment she left behind, her name was revealed to be not Roxanne Domongatt, but Roxanne Fiazza. "Artemio, come find me after you've lived happily until the very end."
