Getting 100% success using 5 sunrise herbs instead of 6 at Artisan 4 Alchemy. Couldn't seem to reduce ingredients much further.

artisan 8, 20% fail rate with only 5 herbs. Recipe requirements/success rate may have changed since Friendlyfire_on's post.

Can confirm, Master 3 with 1234 (no joke) Mastery and still fail very often with 5 herbs
