Could it be that you accidentally deactivated the login function while fixing this?
Edit: looks like it's back again, don't know if you did something or if it was just a connection problem.
Edit2: Whatever it was, it also seems to have killed all the set checkmarks I've set in the knowledge category. >.<

Don't worry, all your checkmarks are there. The login function was indeed disabled during the fix (that's why you didn't see the marks).
I was tinkering a bit more with that problem after I've wrote my message here.
