I heard the coder got scammed and lost bdodatabase and made bdocodex (which is more updated/less bugs).
I'll be using this site instead.
I have a request, users should be able to add spawn locations of things on a MAP, or add a MAP to things.

You are trying to add the location on the item page. This function is available only on the pages of npcs and gatherable objects. Please use this page:
Violet Flower instead.

Good job, but i find it difficult to find that gathering page itself. You see the item page itself has a comment linking a video showing a few of the item's gathering locations. https://bdocodex.com/us/item/5526/ . I use this ( IMG: http://prntscr.com/mklfe1 ) search to always find what im looking for, and the item page doesn't show it's location database on a map. It would be so beneficial to have location database displayed on an item's page as well. Not sure if this would be difficult for you, but it would be very convenient to have an item's location map on the item's page for everybody. ^^

I understand you, but doing this could be a bit misleading. For example, some item could be obtained from different sources, such as npcs, gatherable objects, quests at the same time. If we'll show a map on the item's page, it will be unclear, to which source it's related (quest, npc, gatherable?) and if there are locations for both npc/gatherable there will be a mess on the map.

With current system the user can see that the item could be obtained via gathering, and if he wants to see the locations of the gatherable objects, he can do so by going to the respective object's page.

I see now, then you click the item on that, THEN the map shows up.

I never knew maps are only shown through that rout. I know lots of other people must have been lost like myself. The comment on the item's page (violet flower) links to a video showing a few locations.. On many other item pages people post location videos too, unknowing of a map feature. I wonder if there's something you could add to make the map option more visible directly from the item's page.. one sec...

Well, I can show the map here, but the controls for adding the new locations, still will be at the gatherable's page. At least for now. Are you ok with that?

Oh hell yeah man, adding a little map image thing so people can actually know there is a map would be SOOOO endlessly helpful. im gunna mark out so many spots for so much stuff this will be great!
