I had some struggles with this questline as well, so I'll post some hopefully helping screenshots! The investigate point you need to find is in the "mothers heart", which is the great tree Kamasylve. Just go up the stair and look out over the city between the branches, and it should be right there.

Next part of this quest is in the tower you can see in a distance, you need to go there and interact with the books up top.

Had to zoom in all the way and rotate around a bit to get the sacred pinnacles knowledge while investigating the tree.

Sacred Pinnacle: Go up into kamasylvia tree, on right observation mark. Interact, you will get typical observe controls zoom up down etc. turn to see kamasylvia tree, zoom in as far as possible and mission completes.
